MY NAME IS KATARINA SOSTAKOVA AND I AM AN ADVENTURE PHOTOGRAPHER.
I have always loved exploring new places and cultures. Since an early age, I have been dreaming about faraway lands and diverse cultures. Every cent I saved was usually spent on my travels. However, seeing all the beauty of the world, I wanted to share my experiences with others and bring them out to nature. This led to my first touch of the world of photography.
Since then I have developed a love for all outdoor sports - mainly hiking, rock climbing, trail running and backcountry skiing, which became also the focus of my work. I try to capture stories that inspire people to go out of their comfort zone, whether it is just outside of the door or in remote landscapes. I love capturing adventure with all it comes - not only sunshine and daisies, but a variety of emotions - from hardship and anger to joy and happiness.
Brands look for my unique perspective on stories told through timeless images that strengthen their relationship with their audience.
When I am not working, I can be found on a personal adventure, whether it is hiking, climbing, trail running or exploring faraway cultures.
